What is THIM Thailand?
THIM stands for Thailand Immigration Management. It is a mobile immigration platform developed to support foreign traveller registration and future immigration services in Thailand.
The Tourism Authority of Thailand announced pilot access to THIM on 11 June 2026. During the pilot phase, travellers may use THIM as an optional channel for TDAC-linked registration or continue using the existing official TDAC channel.
THIM vs TDAC: What Is the Difference?
THIM — Thailand Immigration Management
THIM is a mobile immigration platform. Its role is to support traveller registration and potentially expand into additional immigration services.
In the pilot phase, THIM can be used as an optional route to access TDAC-linked registration.
TDAC — Thailand Digital Arrival Card
TDAC is Thailand's online arrival-card system for non-Thai nationals entering the Kingdom. It replaced the traditional paper arrival card.

Who Needs to Complete TDAC?

When should TDAC be submitted?
The Immigration Bureau guide states that arrival-card information should be submitted within the permitted three-day period before arrival in Thailand.
TDAC is not a visa
TDAC does not replace visa requirements. Visa or visa-exemption eligibility depends on nationality, passport type, purpose of travel and length of stay.
Passport Information & MRZ Scanning
The official TDAC system allows travellers to enter passport details manually or use the passport MRZ to retrieve information automatically.
Travellers should always recheck passport data after information has been read from an MRZ image.
